300

Which organ breaks down toxins in the blood?

Liver

Within a food web, who breaks down dead things and why are they important?

Decomposers. They're important because they provide/produce fertilized soil for our plants.

Is this a chemical or physical change?

Cracks forming in concrete due to change in temperature is a?

Physical Change

400

Which spheres are interacting with each other?

Water erodes the land brining nutrients to lakes.

Geosphere & Hydrosphere

400

Why do we have longer daylight hours in the summer time and not in the winter time?

Since the sun is higher in the sky, we receive more daylight hours, but we receive less daylight hours in the winter because the sun is lower in the sky.

Chemical Change
500

Which spheres are interacting with each other?

A volcano erupts adding carbon dioxide to the air.

Atmosphere & Geosphere

What are the reasons for the seasons?

Earth's tilted axis causes the seasons. Throughout the year, different parts of Earth receive the Sun's most direct rays (due to our revolution around the sun). So, when the North Pole tilts toward the Sun, it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere. And when the South Pole tilts toward the Sun, it's winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

Which organ produces insulin, a hormone that helps regulate the body's glucose level?

Pancreas

500

Why did the dinosaurs go extinct?

The asteroid impact was the main culprit but volcanic eruptions caused the sun to disappear within the ash causing most living things to die within the food web.
