To Do or Not to Do
As obedient children, we are to be holy as He is holy, and not be conformed to these things which were yours in your ignorance. (1 Pet. 1:14)

These two commands are given before we are told to fix our hope completely on grace. (1 Pet.1:13)
What are prepare your minds for action and keep sober in spirit?
We are born again to a living hope through the resurrection of this person from the dead. (1 Pet. 1:3)

Because "the end of all things is at hand," believers are urged to be of sound judgment and this, for the sake of prayer (1 Pet. 4:7)

A cause of stumbling and offense after being rejected by the builders. (1 Pet. 2:7-8)

For the Lord's sake, this is to be our response to every human institution. (1 Pet. 2:13)
According to 1 Peter 2:20, this is the type of suffering that finds favor with God, as opposed to being punished for doing wrong.
What is suffering for doing what is right?
Before casting all your cares on God, do this so that He may exalt you at the proper time. (1 Pet. 5:6)

1 Peter 5:8 instructs believers to be of sober spirit and on alert, because of this prowling adversary.

Angels, authorities, and powers are subjected to this person who now sits at the right had of God. (1 Pet. 3:22)

You are blessed because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you if this happens to you. (1 Pet. 4:14)

As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each believer is to do this with the gift he/she has received (1 Pet. 4:10)

Since Christ has suffered in the flesh, believers are the arm themselves with this. (1 Pet. 4:1)

Once continually straying like sheep, we now have returned to this person. (1 Pet. 2:25)

These people are to be clothed in humility, for God is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble. (1 Pet. 5:5)
