Type of object that you create to store information that’s specific to your company or industry
What is custom object?
A collection of settings and permissions that extend users’ functional access without changing their profiles.
What is permission set?
A point-and-click tool that lets you easily automate if/then business processes and see a graphical representation of your process as you build.
What is Process Builder?
A visual display of key metrics and trends for records in your org.
What is dashboard?
A table in the Salesforce database that stores a particular kind of information.
What is Object?
In this type of relationship, the parent object controls certain behaviors of the child object, like who can view the child's data.
What is master-detail relationship?
The baseline level of access that the most restricted user should have.
What is Org-Wide default?
Business process that determines how a record, like a time-off request, gets approved by the right stakeholders.
What is Approval Process?
A template that makes reporting easier. It determines which fields and records are available for use when creating a report.
What is report type?
The structure of your Salesforce org which also means "data about data".
What is metadata?
Examples of this field type are: CreatedDate, LastModifiedById, and LastModifiedDate.
What is system field?
A collection of individual users, other groups, individual roles or territories, and/or roles or territories with their subordinates that all have a function in common.
What is public group?
Part of Flow Builder which is a working area, where you build a flow by adding elements. As you add elements here and connect them together, you see a visual diagram of your flow.
What is Canvas?
This report format is the simplest and fastest way to look at your data. Similar to a spreadsheet, they consist simply of an ordered set of fields in columns, with each matching record listed in a row. They're often best used for tasks like generating a mailing list. This is also the default format.

It is a safe environment where you can practice the skills you’re learning before you take them to your real work.

This special field type holds a value that’s automatically calculated based on a formula that you write.
What is formula field?
Using this will extend sharing access to users in public groups, roles, or territories. It gives particular users greater access by making automatic exceptions to your org-wide sharing settings.
What is sharing rule?
The main container for a set of instructions. These instructions can always be summed up in an if/then statement. Can be broken into two components: Criteria and Actions.
What is Workflow Rule?
This component type is used when creating a dashboard when you have a single value that you want to show within a range of custom values.
What is gauge?
Salesforce provides a core set of services to all our customers in the cloud. No matter the size of your business, you get access to the same computing power, data storage, and core features. This idea simply means that you’re sharing resources.
What is multitenancy?
This tool that lets you visualize and edit your data model. It’s useful for designing and understanding complex data models.
What is Schema Builder?
Type of sharing model where a user can view, edit, or delete a record if she can perform that same action on the record it belongs to. Usually the sharing model found in child object involved in master-detail relationship.
What is Controlled by Parent?
This Salesforce product provides declarative process automation for every Salesforce app, experience, and portal. It includes two point-and-click automation tools: Flow Builder and Process Builder.
What is Salesforce Flow?
Filter a report by the child object using WITH or WITHOUT conditions. Add subfilters to further filter by fields on the child object. For example, if you have a filter of Accounts with Opportunities, click Add Opportunity Filter and create the Opportunity Name equals ACME subfilter to only include those opportunities.
