Where is the video surveillance in the school, and what can the school district do with the videos?
Surveillance is all over the school! Videos can be used to determine disciplinary action and they can become a part of your education record.
What should parents do if they have concerns?
Parents should contact the team leader (Ms. Evenson) and set up a meeting with the team.
What must you have to be in the hall during a class period?
A hall pass!
A telephone for emergency purposes is kept where?
In the office.
What does the Student Council do, and who can be on it?
The Student Council allows students to participate in managing school affairs (activities, fundraisers, etc.). Teachers will select 5 students from each team who demonstrate leadership qualities.

The student who causes the damage.
What must you do to qualify for athletics?
Have passing grades and a sports physical.

Are cellphones allowed? What happens if they are brought to school?
NO, they are not allowed at EMS. Cellphones brought to school will be confiscated immediately and held at the office until the end of the day.
Students who do not have access to basic care items at home can go where?
"The Pantry". Ms. Hawbaker in room 111 is available between 11:10 and 11:50, or talk to a trusted teacher.
What is the advisory period used for, and when are classroom meetings?
The advisory period is used to help you connect with your advisor and manage academic and social pressures. Class meetings are held once each week.
What do you do if you arrive early at school?
School doors open as early as 7:30. Early students go directly to the cafeteria until dismissed.
When can students go to their lockers?
Before your advisory class, at lunch, and after 7th period. No locker use will be available during class time.
How many levels of bullying behavior are there?
Three. Each has a different set of consequences.
