Ensure the cashier is trained to assist the athlete in a timely manner.  They know they can pass the buck to the css or head coach as needed.

Athlete can get frustrated and leave the store empty handed, leave a negative review, and let their friends and family know what happened.

What are the three different types of pricing?

1.  Regular - These include current and original pricing and have .99 and .00 endings.

2.  Sale - These are temporary pricing (typically on promo for 1-5 weeks) and have .98 endings.

3.  Clearance - This merchandise will be on clearance for about a year before being marked out of stock.  Has a .93 pr .97 ending.  Typically items will go through one or two markdowns before going to clearance.

What are the two types of promotions?

1.  Temporary - Price changes are reflected with a price point sign that is created by the signage team and sent to the stores via the SIGNs program.  Stores print them on the appropriate stock.  Sales generally run from Sun-Sat and can run from 1-5 weeks.

2.  Permanent Price Changes

Perms can be markup (white)or markdowns (red)

markups cover up old price, markdowns leave visible
