  3. When prompted, click OK to attempt the repair.
  4. Exit the command prompt.
  5. Reboot.
  6. If the repair fails, open a command prompt as an Administrator, and run the following commands:
    1. C:\> Net Stop CryptSvc
    2. C:\> Rename %WINDIR%\system32\catroot2 catroot2_old
  7. Exit the command prompt.
  8. Reboot.
