To focus on a negative detail of a situation and exclude other details such as the positive parts.
Example: "My teacher gave me ten compliments but also one suggestion for growth, I must have done a terrible job on the project"
Mental Filtering or Disqualifying the Positive
I felt awkward during the job interview. I am always so awkward
Overgeneralization or All-Or-Nothing
I feel sad so nobody will like me or want to work with me
