What is building rapport?

Teaches skills through multiple trials that are structured and adult-led
What is discrete trial training (DTT)?

Putting items back into their designated and labeled areas

What is natural environment teaching (NET)?
To see current skills/knowledge and does not include prompting, teaching, or correction

Locking entrances, using child locks, staying out of red squares, closing gates
What are examples of adherence to safety protocols?
Free operant, multiple stimulus with/without replacement, paired stimulus/forced choice
What are preference assessments?
Coercing a learner to comply or follow through with a demand or attempting to control a client's behavior
What is a power struggle?
Coming up with creative ways to teach a skill more often and in various situations
What are contriving opportunities?
What is a full physical prompt?
5 feet, close enough to be able to block or redirect disruptive behaviors and/or praise desirable behaviors
What is distance between BT and learner?
Something that decreases the value of a reinforcer
What is an abolishing operation?
Reinforcement of replacement behavior(s) that still meet the function of the challenging behavior(s)
What is differential reinforcement of alternative behavior (DRA)?
A procedure that includes the following steps: SD is re-delivered, followed by an immediate prompt, and distractor trials
What is error correction?
Visual -> verbal -> gesture -> model -> partial physical -> full physical
What is least to most prompting?
"Productive", "beneficial", "learning opportunities"
What are alternatives to "good session"?
Allowing the learner to dictate physical contact, honoring all forms of communication, and promoting self-advocacy
What is assent-based care?
Reinforcement of desirable behavior(s) that cannot (or would be difficult to) occur simultaneously with the targeted disruptive behavior(s)
What is differential reinforcement of incompatible behavior (DRI)?
Reinforcement (social praise and high fives) is provided to a learner on a schedule of every 3 minutes when attending to task while sitting at the table
What is fixed interval of 3 minutes (FI3)?
Whole interval recording, partial interval recording, and momentary time sampling
What are examples of discontinuous data collection?
Prior to BT breaks, switching between BTs for coverages or AM/PM session
