Voice Levels
This voice level means total silence, no talking.
What is Level 0?
This is the first thing you should do when you walk into class.
What is enter calmly?
This is what you do with your hand when you need help.
What is raise it?
This is the name for our 5-step closing routine.
What is Last 5?
This classroom job hands out Chromebooks at the start of class, and/or collects and checks in Chromebooks at the end of class.
What is the Chromebook Keeper?
At this level, only the person next to you can hear you.
What is Level 1 (Whisper)?
You should go directly here after greeting your teacher.
What is your seat?
This is what you should do while you wait for help to arrive.
What is keep working?
This is the first step of Last 5.
What is clean up?
This classroom job makes sure the room looks clean and tidy; from beginning to the end of class.
What is the Room Captain?
This level is for small group voice, not across the room.
What is Level 2 (Table Talk)?
You should have your notebook, binder, and this device ready.
What is your Chromebook?
When Miss Jenkins raises her hand, this is what you should do.
What is raise your hand back and go silent?
Your Chromebook should go here at the end of the day.
What is the cart (collected at MS Clubs)?
This classroom job passes out paperwork, table caddies, and all other daily materials as needed.
What is the Materials Manager?
This is the loudest voice level, used when presenting to the class.
What is Level 3?
This is what you should start immediately, without being asked.
What is the warm-up / Do Now?
These are the three things STL stands for.
What are Sit, Track, and Listen?
This is where students are at for the last 5 minutes of class.
What is sitting quietly in their seats?
This is the first value in Our Classroom Agreement.
What is Respect People, Property & Space?
This is the voice level we use in the hallway and cafeteria.
