When someone says or does something unintentionally hurtful and they do it once.
Kayla tells MacKenzie that she can’t sit with her on the bus today because she is saving the seat for a girl from her Social Studies class.
Rude,
Kayla is being rude, but there is no evidence of her intentionally trying to be mean to MacKenzie or evidence of repetitive behavior.
Josh is in PE playing kickball when he suddenly gets hit in the head with the ball. The student that kicked it laughs, says "that's what you get," does not apologize and continues playing the game. Josh is not physically hurt badly, but he's annoyed.
