What is the definition of being Rude?
When someone says or does something unintentionally hurtful and they do it once.
Kayla tells MacKenzie that she can’t sit with her on the bus today because she is saving the seat for a girl from her Social Studies class.
Rude,
Kayla is being rude, but there is no evidence of her intentionally trying to be mean to MacKenzie or evidence of repetitive behavior.
Josh is in PE playing kickball when he suddenly gets hit in the head with the ball. The student that kicked it laughs, says "that's what you get," does not apologize and continues playing the game. Josh is not physically hurt badly, but he's annoyed.
How should he respond?
Ignore.
Remove self from the situation.
Ask the person patiently/kindly to stop.

When someone says or does something intentionally hurtful and they keep doing it- even when you tell them to stop or show them that you're upset.
