New England- public schools; if town had 50+ required to hire teacher; 100+ required to build school
Middle- religious schools
Southern- would hire private tutors

Voters in each state choose their electors who then vote for president and VP. Number of electors is equal to the number of senators + representatives in the House of Representatives

they signed a contract for voyage to the new world; worked for 4-7 years to repay debt
What were the Virginia and New Jersey Plans?
VA- two houses of Congress based on population; favored by larger states; created strong national government
NJ- one house of Congress based on equality; favored by small states; states had more power like the AOC
