Want more points? Then take a chance - Every time you roll the cube and land a black and white handshape, you need to interpret a sign. Roll or no?...

Pick an opponent on the other team to face off against.

You know what it means to have signing control, but how is your control with facial expressions/reactions? Go to the front of the room and face each other. Who can hold a straight face the longest? You can use signs and NMM's to try to make your opponent slip.

For 100 bonus points - Break Mr. Kiefer's straight face in under 30 seconds. You can use signs, NMM's, and noises if you'd like.

200

If your team would like to take a 4 minute break to convene, review any ASL course documents and videos, or ask the instructor any questions, it will cost you 50 points, and this unknown 200 point challenge will be passed to the opposing team. Or, you can skip the opportunity to take a break, and be given a harder 200 point challenge since your team obviously feels extremely confident. You have 30 seconds to discuss your options.

Passed Challenge: Sign this...

Was this really that hard? Sure, maybe from a certain point of view. Don't Build things up in your mind. Nothing to stress about.

Harder Accepted Challenge: Sign this...

Deposit around $1,110 in the bank, rent the Lake Wylie home for next Saturday, organize the graduation party, call the Paco's Tacos & Tequila restraunt, buy 2 large hoodies/peanut butter/chocolate for the night bonfire, clean the beach volleyball court, don't forget to practice your ASL 4 signs when you finish.

Opposing team - pick a number (4, 5, or 9)

That's the number of the collection of signs you need to demonstrate. These are signs that are visually extremely similar to one another, and are known to be harder to retain. Turn to the rest of the group and accurately demonstrate the whole collection of signs. If anyone from the opposing team wants to "call something out" or question an action, they are welcome to. The instructor will make a determination.

**If you need help with demonstrating something, a member of your team can jump in, but it will cost you - 50 points will be taken from your score.

4.  MOST vs. EVERY vs. BELOW (Ranking) vs. PASS vs. BEHIND vs. WITH vs. FAR AWAY

Finally, correctly interpret three ASL 3 signs from page 9 that the opposing team demonstrates. Each team member must interpret one sign. If you incorrectly interpret a sign, blank, question yourself, or take more than a few seconds to answer, 459 points will be taken from your teams score.

**If a member of the opposing team incorrectly demonstrates a sign, 153 points will be taken from their score, and a new sign from page 9 will need to be chosen.

One member from each team, go to the front of the room and look at the picture the instructor provides. You have 2 minutes to examine the obvious/finer details, trying to remember as much as you can. Then, when the instructor gives you the go-ahead, start to describe what you see as best as you can in ASL - NO SPEAKING OR USING LIPS. The rest of your team will need to work together to draw what is being described on a blank piece of paper. They can ask clarifying questions, ONLY in sign, to try to understand what the drawing should look like. You have 5 minutes!

Whichever teams' drawing comes closest to matching the original picture will receive the 459 points. There will be multiple judges who will contribute to a final decision.

A fat fish named Gil swimming along in the ocean while listening to a banger of a song, swims up to Dory, tries to give her a high five but misses the first time, drinks a pumpkin spice latte that he spots on the ocean floor, gets a massive surge of energy which makes his eyes widen, twitch, and swim faster. Then all of a sudden he feels like something's wrong in his heart. He says "I can beat this". He dies and floats to the surface. A seagull flies down to the surface, picks up the fish, flies away to  beach, drops it in Mr. Kiefer's hand, he shrugs it off and tosses it into a powerful burning bonfire pit.

Pick two team members to demonstrate the order/one-sided exchange below in sign. The instructor will determine if you will receive all, more than, or some of the points based on multiple factors.

Hey, what's up, ok nice. The gossip around town is that your shops seasonal drink menu discount for college students does nothing, so don't worry about telling me about it. I don't have much time, so I'm only going to say what I want once. Try your best to memorize this. It's actually really important - This is my daily medicine. Can't start the day without energy... Can I have a large iced cookie butter latte with 3 shots of espresso, a little bit of oat milk, mint instead of that soapy bad tasting cilantro, and an equal amount of cocoa and cinnamon powder sprinkled on top. Then use a knife to draw the letter 'K' on the surface. Before doing any of that, pour a salted caramel syrup drizzle on the inside of the bottom half of the plastic cup. Oh wait, don't forget 1/3 teaspoon of sugar.

Unique flavor combinations increase my popularity across... and under campus. So many people want to hangout. Sometimes, when I bring something new, one or two weird things climb out of the storm drain next to the science/technology building asking "Have another straw?". Are they thirsty dirty green people or gators who walk on two legs and can talk, I don't know. Strange right? But, who cares. Sharing never happens. It's not even an 'IF' or a 'MAYBE'. It's a 'BUY YOUR OWN $10 COFFEE'. Now I just run straight to class. Maybe I should think about buying some bear spray. Have a good morning.

For 100 bonus points - Correctly answer these Deaf culture questions:

1.  True or false: It is considered rude to walk through two Deaf individuals who are having a conversation.

2.  The Deaf community is considered the third largest people group in the world who don't have access to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sadly, less than ___% of all churches in the United States offer any outreach to Deaf individuals at all. It is extremely rare to find a church that offers age-appropriate Christian teaching to Deaf children. The answer is between 2% - 25%. If your teams' guess lands within 5 percentage points you will receive the points.
