This system takes an additional 40 refractions of the eye after the cataract has been removed in order to give the most precise lens power recommendation. It's also very helpful for placing Toric IOLs, and in cases of dense cataracts, too!

This is a thin layer of tissue located at the back of the eyeball. It acts as a translator, converting light that enters the eye into electrical signals. These signals travel through the optic nerve to the brain, creating the images we see.

Corneal edema, Endophthalmitis, corneal abrasion, retained lens material, hemorrhage, and wound dehiscence are all examples of this type of complication, which is a direct result of the surgical procedure.

This lens implant, known as an EDOF lens, provides patients with an extended range of vision including near, intermediate and distance. It has significantly reduced chances of glare and halos. Reading glasses are usually needed to enhance the size of small font.

Sterilization should be my middle name! My role is of crucial importance to ensure sterile technique is maintained properly, including working alongside the surgeon as well as sterilizing instruments, gowning and gloving myself and others, and more.

A lens that provides patients with excellent near, intermediate, and distance vision with minimal glasses use after surgery. The only downside - possibility of glare and halos due to the concentric rings on the body of the lens.
