Peter saw a blanket of unclean animals and a voice told him to eat it and he said no, he's never eaten unclean animals before. Then the voice told him that "what God has cleansed you must not call common."
It meant that Peter should not call men unclean and not only the Jews were to be saved, but that Peter can go to the Gentiles (Cornelius) and tell them about God and the Gospel too, that way they can be saved too.

The Holy Spirit lives in us, so we need to keep our bodies clean and holy because the Holy Spirit cannot live in a body that is not holy or unclean.
