Where are you allowed to run?

1. In the Sports Hall.

2. In the outside play areas (but be watchful of your surroundings).

When you are in the canteen line, are you allowed to save a spot for your friend or move forward to where your friend is?

No. You cannot save a spot for your friend or move forward in the line. 

Consequence: If you do so, the duty teacher will move you to the back of the line; if you keep skipping, you will get the consequence of waiting until everyone else has gotten their food before you get yours.

Everyone will get their food. If you cut the line, it is not respectful to those who are waiting in line. Wait your turn, don't stress, there is enough time and enough food.

Give it to the teacher for a HW due that day which you need more time on. The teacher will sign and keep it. Submit that HW the next day (unless the teacher decides to give you a further extension).

When are you allowed to use the emergency stairs (the stairs on the sides of the hallway)?

Only during an emergency. When you hear the alarm sound, you can use it to go outside to the emergency meeting point (in front of the main building).

If you see a pen or book lying around, can you take it?

No. Leave it there, the person might come back to find it. Or, give it to the GLC who can help find the owner.

What are two things you should do during 5-minute transition time?

1. Get your books for your next class.

2. Go to the bathroom if you need to.

3. Get water from your water bottle if you need to.

If you do this efficiently, you also have time to chat with friends! Keep an eye on the time!

What are three things you should do during Assemblies to be respectful?

1. Be quiet when the presenter is talking.

2. Listen when the presenter is talking.

3. Clap after a presenter finishes talking.

4. Keep your feet on the floor (no feet on the chairs).

5. Be on time for Assembly, and quickly sit in your assigned row.

6. Do not bring devices to Assembly. If you accidentally brought it, do not open it or give it your Homeroom Teacher or GLC.

What are 2 ways you are allowed to use AI for class/homework?

Are Allowed:

1. Ask if to explain what a question means, or how to understand a question.

2. Ask if to help you create an outline for an essay.

3. Ask it to help you find sources. Then read each of those sources to double check them.

4. Ask it to help you make study sheets from presentations and notes in class. Use those study sheets to study.

5. Ask it to help you brainstorm research questions.

6. Ask it to explain a rubric, and what the criteria mean/look like.

Are NOT Allowed:

1. Take a picture of your work, put it into AI, and have it give you the answers.

2. Write the HW question into AI and ask it for the answer. Copy the answer.

3. Have it write an essay or paragraph for you. Copy the answer.

4. Anything where you are getting the answer from AI or copying from AI, is NOT allowed.

1. What is the 5-second touch rule.

2. How/who does it apply to?

1. It means you can only engage in some forms of touch for a maximum of 5 seconds.

2. So, you can only consensually hug, high-5, fist bump, or hold the hand of another student for a maximum of 5 seconds.

3. The 5-second rule does not apply with adults and students. You should not hug your teachers, but fist bumps and high-5s are fine. If you need a hug, you can ask; if you are sad and need a hug, it's okay.

What are two things you should keep-in-mind when making a joke?

1. It should be internationally-minded.

2. It should be mutually appreciated. (If the other person doesn't think it's funny, then it is teasing.)

3. Do not make jokes about anyone's body (weight, attractiveness, how they look, height, etc.) - it is not kind.

4. Keep your scenario in mind. Class time, when taking a test, during a serious conversation - might not be the best time to make a joke.

You are supposed to use the bathroom or get water during the breaks. 


1. If it is an emergency and you need to go during class, what should you do?

2. If it is an emergency in class, does the teacher have to let you go?

1. You need to ask the teacher for permission. You should not just leave the classroom. (Unless it is a serious emergency, if you are about to throw up or having diarrhea for example - then you can run, but please talk to your teacher kindly after the lesson and explain the situation.)

2. If it is your first time asking, the teacher will let you go. But the teacher might ask you to wait until the explanation is over. -- If you have asked this teacher 2-3 times in previous lessons, the teacher may say no. So be responsible with going to the bathroom and getting water during transition time.
