1. Circulatory + Digestive System
After food is broken down in the digestive system, nutrients (like glucose, amino acids, and vitamins) are absorbed into the blood in the small intestine.
The circulatory system then transports these nutrients through the bloodstream to all the cells in the body, where they are used for energy, growth, and repair.
2. Circulatory + Respiratory System
In the lungs, the respiratory system brings in oxygen. Oxygen moves into the blood in tiny air sacs called alveoli.
The circulatory system then carries oxygen to body cells. At the same time, it picks up carbon dioxide (a waste gas) from the cells and brings it back to the lungs to be exhaled.
