We’ve tried hard but have not been able to contain pure magic (even after slaughtering three unicorns) in the detector. You would not see these compounds, even with the diode array. You should add our ELSD to your order because it’s a universal detector and the C-700 can control it.

Why may a customer using a competitor’s flash system need a prep HPLC?
They may need to run reverse phase which is not easy on something like an ISCO. They may need to further clean samples for biological studies or to reach certain purity targets (i.e. >98%).

You know, that does make sense, but my super-smart product specialist said that normal phase and reverse phase do not correlate directly or inversely. Only by TLC or HPLC can you predict what flash or preparative separations will do.
