True: Everyone has biases, and in fact it is impossible not to possess a few, based on our background and life experiences. These are called implicit biases. Biases are predetermined tendencies or inclinations that you have to make judgments or act in certain ways based upon your background or point of view. Biases are simply a part of who you are. Think of them as "reflexes" of thinking or behaving. They can play a significant role in affecting behavior that can support or undermine inclusion. Being aware of our implicit biases allows us to challenge them in the workplace.
