How is the relationship between farm workers and their bosses (growers) similar to the African American struggle for civil rights?
Both of the struggles are part of the fight for freedom, dignity, and humanity. Latino farm workers were being exploited in the workplace very similarly to how African Americans were exploited in society. Both groups were forced to the bottom of the social hierarchy.
