In 1967 The Chagrin Falls Library was featured in Time Magazine by the Illuminating company for being the first library to use this for all of their heating.
What is electricity?
This task is only needed in the winter.
What is salting and/or shoveling the walkways?
The laminator can be found in this room.
What is the storytime room?
This task is being newly designated as a closing shift task! It should *already* be happening daily, but moving it to the closing shift will ensure accountability.

These square doors in the adult office and the back-back are remnants of the library's original heating method.
What is coal heating or coal shoots?
Aim to do this for at least 15 minutes a day.

These bags contain the materials needed for small craft projects that patrons can bring home.
What are "Take and Makes"
Keep an eye on this area after managers have checked it, to make sure no patrons sneak beyond the velvet rope.
What is the downstairs?
There are two of these that you need to check.
What are the bookdrops?
The bench out front is dedicated to these friends of the library, who you will see in the branch just about everyday.
Who are Norm and Sue?
One of these should be removed whenever a new issue is put out
What are magazines and/or newspapers.
If you are asked to pull a slow-moving, grubby, or missing list you need to make sure to check this one important detail.....which is different from the daily holds list.
What is the barcode?
Keep an eye on this area after managers have checked it to make sure no patrons sneak into the throne room.
What are the restrooms?
Patrons aren't supposed to leave these outside when we are closed.....but they sometimes do. :(
