How did the Native Americans resist relocation?
Black Hawk led a group of Warriors to take back their land, the Seminole people of Florida fought and attacked villages, and scattered groups fought for permission to live in the east. The Natives also went to the supreme court to get justice and they were supported but Jackson did not listen and went along to threaten the Natives for their land. The Seminole tribe also won a war against Americans in Florida.
Why did the Coffin Handbill backfire and what was it?
It criticized Jackson’s execution of six soldiers in the War of 1812. The majority of Americans agreed with Jackson’s actions.
