Before the bell rings

100

Can you submit late assignments without having asked for an extension first?

No.

100

Upon entering class what should you do? (name 3 out of 4 things)

Check the board, hand in your assignments if needed, sit down, and wait for the bell to ring.

(you can still talk to your friends until the bell though, this isn't the military)

100

How many novels are we going to read this year?

(you have 3 seconds to mumble your complaints before we move on)

100

How old is your teacher?

30

200

Can you use the elevator?

No, unless your name is on the list for a special reason (ex. you broke your leg)

200

If you're absent, how can you make up any quizzes, or tests without penalty?

If planned: tell me ahead of time and we'll figure something out.

Not planned: You'll have to do it at lunch time (consolidation lesson), or after school.

200

When can you use the restroom?

During your breaks. You're not 3; you should somehow have some control over your bladder.

*Emergencies will be allowed, but I will sign your agenda as per the new policy

200

Will you have to write your assignments on paper?

Absolutely. Muscle memory beats typing (anyways you often write faster than you type)

200

Your teacher had many side jobs throughout her short life. Guess one

Summer camp counselor, barista, makeup artist, receptionist

300

What are you supposed to do with your cell phone at the beginning of the school day?

Put it in your locker.

300

When is the last day you can ask for an extension?

48h before the due date of an assignment

300

Will your teacher yap for 75 mins straight?

No. I love to talk, but I know you might not enjoy listening to me talk for that long.

300

What counts for the report card?

The official evaluations announced on Classroom and the Portal AND any classwork that might help boost your grade if you need it.

300

Your teacher is allergic to many things, but three are deadly. Guess 2 out of 3

Peanuts, hazelnuts, cats (please don't kill me).

400

Can the girls wear the old skirt, now that there is a new one?

Yes, but only because you're not in sec. 1

400

If you ask for an extension, will it be automatically approved?

No. Your teacher will most likely give you an extension, unless you have not used your class time effectively prior to your request.

400

What is considered being late in this class? Name 3 out of 5

-not being physically present (duh)

-still talking when the bell rings (yes, I'm that strict)

-not having started the bell ringer activity displayed on the board (again, yes, I'm dead serious).

-not being seated

-running to your seat when the bell rings (you run = you're late. This isn't gym class)

400

Are you going to work in teams?

If deserved, absolutely, yes.

But you have to show me you can work and be respectful first. Teamwork is a privilege, not something that I owe you.

400

Which one is older: Google, your teacher, Shrek 1

Your teacher (yes, I'm THAT old)

500

In the basket on your teacher's desk.

500

Pack your stuff, pick up your trash and move the desks back to there they were (you'll get 2 minutes before the bell).

500

Will you have quizzes, tests, and exams?

Unfortunately, yes.

One quiz per cycle, one bigger grammar test, and some formal evaluations. Don't worry, you'll be ready ;)

500
