With the use of this technique, involving shielded enemies falling to their deaths, the majority of the encounter can be completely avoided. This is the only encounter in this entire raid that can be done in a non-intended fashion and it still doesn't save any time :(

This transition is an example of one of the only times Bungie has "fixed" a glitch used in a transition. The fix came because casual players were somehow accidentally performing the DSM and complaining that the activity was "soft-locked" (It wasn't, they just don't understand how the game works. Can you tell I'm still mad about it?)
