Ordinance - An ordinance carries a forfeiture but a Misdemeanor has a fine plus the potential for a jail sentence. A felony has the potential for prison - incarceration over one year.

They only charge crimes if they get a referral from a law enforcement agency. That referral outlines all the evidence collected including scientific evidence, witness statements and physical evidence.

If you don't like the decision the jury or the judge makes, is there anything you can do about it?
You can appeal to the Appellate Court and from there to the Supreme Court. But they will only change a ruling if they find an actual - legal mistake.
