If marijuana is found while on call, without touching their items or the marijuana, the RA should ask residents TO DO THIS.

Sometimes residents will bring back shopping carts from local areas and abandon them in the hall or within the community. When this occurs, move the shopping cart to the following locations depending on the community, and submit a work order for the carts to be returned to the businesses. (You can say one area or multiple, but they all must be correct)

RAs may trade duty shifts if they need to adjust their schedule for a conflicting commitment. Duty trades must be made at least THESE MANY BUSINESS DAYS in advance so that RLC staff have time to review and approve the trade.

Describe RA Procedures is alcohol if found with an underage resident/s.

1. Knock loudly and inform residents that you are the RA on duty. 

2. Ask to speak with the contract holder of the room. 

3. Ask everyone present to have a seat on the floor, if possible. 

4. Check IDs of all individuals present. 

5. Ask residents to dispose of any open or sealed alcohol. Alcohol should be dumped out in the bathroom sink in the presence of an RA. 

6. Ask residents to open the fridge, wardrobes, and any compartments that they may have hid alcohol in. Be observant of residents’ and guests’ condition. If there is concern for alcohol poisoning, contact UCIPD for a medical
