What is EDU 07 or Change of Child form?
Blocks, dramatic play, toys and games, art, library, discovery, sand and water, music and movement, technology, cooking, and outside.
What are the creative curriculum 10 interest areas or learning centers?
An indepth exploration of a topic that children will engage in through multiple weeks.
What is an investigation or study?

What is the number of objectives in the development and learning progressions?
This part of the daily schedule allows children to choose where they want to play and teachers engage with them and observe them.
What is choice time or free choice time?
The form that lists the 10 objectives that require 3 pieces of documentation.
What is EDU 01 or School Readinesss Goals (SRG) Overview?
Reflects times of day such as arrival, large group time, small group time, free choice, large motor, meal times, and rest time. It does not have times but does include pictures.
What is the children's daily schedule?
The list of 10 objectives that our program has determined children should be able to do before entering kindergarten.
What are School Readiness Goals or SRGs?
Anecdotal, on-the-spot, pictures, videos, Intentional Teaching Experiences, Mighty Minutes, and family observations.
What are ways of documenting children's learning and development?
It includes the size of the room, colors of the walls, windows, types of flooring and the arrangement of furniture and materials.
What is the physical environment?
The form that quickly shows important information for teachers regarding setting up the learning environment, lesson plans, observations, etc..
What is form EDU 03 or Quick Reference Guide?
Interest areas do not require their own space in the classroom.
What is music and movement, cooking and technology?
A short, intentional learning activity that usually takes 1-5 minutes.
What is a Mighty Minute?
A checklist that is used to capture skills and abilities in physical, literacy and math.
What is the on-the-spot?
This practice requires teachers to modify activites, questions and materials based on children's interest, abilities and developmental levels.
What is indivudalized instruction or individualization?
The form that the center manager fills out regarding the classroon environment and submits to the education coordinator prior to the first day of school.
What is EDU 12 or Classroom Monitoring Checkilist?
The area that all children will gather typically 2 times during the day to build a sense of community through shared activities and discussions.
What is the large group area?
A planned, purposeful activity designed to help children develop specific skills, concepts or knowledge in a playful way.
What is an Intentional Teaching Experience?
A scheduled assessment period during which teachers review the observations and documentation they've collected and evaluate each child's progress toward developmental and learning objectives.
What is a checkpoint?
This is the first week of a new study or investigation where teachers ask prompting questions to find out what children know about a topic.
What is Exploring the Topic?
This form is used as a guide to determine who's monitoring or coaching teaching teams.
What is EDU 02 or Education Compliance vs. Coaching form?
A visual for children to know how many children are allowed into an interest area.
What is the center management system?
A snap-shot or an overview of what will happen each day for the week. It is displayed in the classroom on the parent board.
What is the at-a-glance lesson plan?
A system that provides classrooms with an organized way to keep observations, and other important classroom resources such as Polices and Procedures, lesson plans, class profile, DECA strategies, Objectives for Development and Learning booklet, and SRGs.
What is the classroom's organized planning system or binder?
Key messages teachers communicate through their words, actions, and physical environment to build a sense of belonging for children and a sense of safety.
