Plot of the story

The City of Ember is falling apart, so Doon and Lina try to find a way out with a set of instructions that the       ”Builders” left behind for them to find. Everyone is against the idea except their closest  friends and family, then Lina finds out that her dad died by falling in the river while trying to leave Ember. When Doon, Lina, and Poppy leave Ember they have to walk out of a tunnel, and when they do Poppy finds a note that tells how they made city of ember. In the short couple pages of the not the women who wrote it said the scientists set it up because something was happening in the world and the didn’t want all the humans to die off.
