The type of focus where one particular part of the frame is in sharp detail, while the other is soft/blurred.
What is shallow focus?
A type of shot in which the lens magnifies the subject at the same time that the camera itself moves backwards away from the subject.
What is a dolly zoom?
A transition that was once iconic, but is now usually used for comedic effect.
What is a wipe?
The name for the super-common guideline to line up photographic subjects along gridlines that places the subject on one of the four intersecting horizontal and vertical lines of an axis.
What is the Rule of Thirds?
A camera angle that is at 90 degrees and shows complex movement.
What is the overhead shot/bird's eye view?
The names of the three depths in the audience's depth of field (hint: they range from close-up to far away).

A shot with no movement at all

The name of an audio transition in which the sound of a scene begins to be heard before that scene becomes visible.
