Man’s Best Friend
The relationship between people and dogs is quite unique. Dogs are domestic animals. They are capable of performing many tasks for humans. Dogs can herd sheep, pull sleds, assist hunters, sniff out drugs, fetch newspapers and they can guide the blind. From rescue dogs to assistance dogs, dogs have made themselves indispensable people. However, the usefulness of dogs doesn’t account for the unique bond between people and their dogs. People love their dogs, they pamper them and they buy them toys. People’s pet dog’s happiness is important to them. People train their dogs to play with them; like catching balls and sƟcks. It has been said that Americans spend up to $41 billion a year on their dogs! People interact with their dogs almost as if they were humans! When an owner’s dog dies, the owners feel lost without them and they will mourn their loss deeply. These are just some of the reasons that ultimately make a dog, man’s best friend.
