What are cucumbers?
We are harvested in the Fall and some people love to go 'picking' us. We grow on trees and many, many varieties.
What are apples?

We love tender leafy greens, seedlings and ripening fruit. And we leave a trail of slime behind us.

We come in red, green, orange and yellow. Some of us are sweet and some of us are hot. We are delicious in salads, roasted or in sauces.
What are peppers?
We grow on a vine and can get very big. Some of us have seeds and some of us do not. Pssssst...there is also a song that has us in the title.
What are watermelons?
Italian or Curly are the two most common types. Used fresh or dries in many different recipes. And you will often see this herb used as a garnish at restaurants.
What is parsley?
Tiny and green and by oursleves very hard to see. We suck the sap from green leaves and where there is one there are hundreds. We are a favorite food to ladybugs.
What are aphids?
This carnivorous plant loves to eat flies but will also eat raw hamburger if no flies are available.
What are Venus fly traps?
Heirloom or not we, cherry or big, we are yummy sliced, roasted, in salads and many other things.
We grow on a tree and can be sour or sweet. Greg has a 'sour' tree in his back yard. We are yummy in pies or coated in chocolate.
What are cherries?
Light green and often with soft green leaves-this herb is used fresh or dried in soups and other recipes. This is also used for 'smudging' a room and getting rid of negative energy.

Sometimes referred to inch worms we are tiny and green and live and feast on cabbage, kale cauliflower to name just a few.

This part of the carrot is what most people eat.
What is the root?
We grow underground-red, white or yellow. Only on per plant and must be dug up in the fall. Sautéed with butter in garlic we make any kitchen smell delish.
What are onions?
Grown on a vine and harvested in the fall-we can be orange, yellow, green or white. Some of us are made into pies and some of us are carved.

A type of caterpillar- a single one of us can strip an entire plant of its leaves in a matter of days. We particularly love tomatoes plants and should be killed on site.
