New Scholar/Sponsor Training, one In-Service Training, Career Week, and the Graduation Banquet/Pathways to Promise Conference.
What is the policy on alcohol in mentoring?
Scholars and mentors may go to locations where alcohol is being consumed, but neither may drink.
Can the Emergency Fund be used to pay tuition?

What is the minimum amount of turnaround time that must be provided for emergency fund requests?

What is the Degree Acceleration Fund?
Fund that supports the purchase of textbooks and other items that will speed time to degree (i.e. CLEP tests). The limit is $200 annually.
What are Generation Hope's time limits for Scholars in the program?
4 years for an Associate's degree, 8 years for a Bachelor's degree.
What is the Pathways to Promise conference?
Year-end conference that provides opportunities for learning and celebration of graduates. Required for all Scholars!
What are Scholars and Sponsors required to do every month? (3 things)
Meet in person once with their match, complete monthly mentoring forms, and communicate at least every other week with their match.

How does a Scholar request a tutor?

At the end of each semester and (informally) at midterms
In what situations does confidentiality no longer apply?
If there is suspected abuse, neglect, or maltreatment of a child or vulnerable adult; or if a Scholar is a danger to themselves or others.
What is the difference between a Hope Coach and a Sponsor?
Hope Coach is Generation Hope staff and helps connect to resources. Sponsor is your one-on-one mentor, is a volunteer with Generation Hope, and is primarily focused on providing emotional support.
What is the first step to receiving Emergency Funding?
Complete Emergency Fund Request form on your Scholar portal (we recommend that you talk to your Hope Coach even before taking this step!)
