Although Christians may assume they are instruments for God's purpose, God considers that man is actually this

This verse states that God created man in His image and likeness and gave them dominion over the earth
Genesis 1:26
As a vessel, we have this part of our being that we may understand God

John 4:24 says this
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness.
God is this profession because He forms man from clay into vessels according to His will.
A potter
This verse shows that we have been predestinated to be conformed to the image of God's Son
Romans 8:29
Because of this motivating factor, the universe with myriads of items was created with man as the center
God's eternal plan or God's eternal purpose
This choosing organ of our being allows us to decide to receive the Lord and is a factor in having a strong faith
the will
When God created man, He said in Genesis 1:26 that He would make man according to these two things
His image and likeness
In this verse we see God has made us vessels of mercy, prepared unto glory
Romans 9:23
This is what Genesis 1:26 says
And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of heaven and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.
Romans 8:29 says this
Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers
According to this verse, we are earthen vessels created by God to contain a treasure
2 Cor 4:7
This is God's eternal plan
A corporate man to be His expression
This was the Gentile prophet used by God as an instrument, but in a very negative way.
Balaam
God will obtain a corporate man to be His expression in the universe through dispensing this into His chosen and predestinated vessels
His life and nature
In order to fulfill His eternal plan, God planned beforehand and foreordained that we would receive this, that is that we would be born of Him and become this, having His life and nature.
Sonship; His sons
1 Thessalonians 5:23 says this
And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
