Tropic Zone: between the Tropic and Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn, this zone is nearest the equator and gets direct sunlight all year. It is always warm and only has one "season" (summer).
Temperate Zone: This zone lies between the tropics and the arctic/antarctic lines of latitude. It has four seasons. We live here.
Arctic Zone: Furthest from the equator, this zone lies above/below the arctic and antarctic circles. Very few life forms can live in this zone.
