Using a diagram, explain how sound travels through the ear
A sound is made. The outer ear gathers the sound and funnels it through the inner ear to the eardrum.
The eardrum vibrates when sound waves reach it.
From there, the sound is transmitted by three tiny bones (the hammer, anvil, and stirrup) to the inner ear. Where nerves carry the message to the brain.
Our sound memory helps us recognize the sound.
