Why did Henry use his mother's typewriter?
Henry asked to use his mother’s typewriter so he could type a letter to Miss Roop. He was trying to get out of the play, so he was pretending his mother typed the letter excusing Henry because he had too much work to do at home. He wasn’t good at typing, so the letter looked really messy.
