Nine toddlers have three teachers. Their individualized toddler schedules are posted in the classroom and were last reviewed two months ago. Because it's raining lightly, the teachers decide to stay inside. At lunch, a child refuses his milk, so the teacher tells him he cannot have crackers unless he drinks it. After lunch, everyone washes their hands. The children did not wash their hands when they returned from the playground earlier that morning. What, if any, are the violations?
The toddler schedules and ratio are fine. The clear violations are the punishment of refusing to drink milk by withholding crackers, and failing to wash hands after the outdoor activity. Whether the rain constitutes inclement weather sufficient to skip outdoor time depends on the actual conditions, so that detail is deliberately not automatically a violation.
