Which two Planets rain Diamonds?
Neptune and Uranus
(Due to high pressure + Temperature which squeezes the carbon into diamonds)
What is the closest star to our planet?
The Sun
Which planet is a failed star?
Jupiter
(It is composed of hydrogen and helium which are the same elements the sun is made of. Jupiter is not not large enough to start nuclear fusion and generate it own energy)
Which planet rains acid?
Venus
(Due to sulfuric acid in its atmosphere which forms into Sulfur dioxide when it reacts with water vapor. However, it evaporates before reaching the surface due to extreme high temperatures on Venus)
What is not considered a planet no more?
Pluto
(Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet because it did not meet 1 out of the 3 criteria' s to be a planet.
It did not meet "It has cleared the neighbourhood around its orbit")
What is a star?
A star is a glowing ball of gas composed of Helium and Hydrogen in a shape of a sphere that is held by its own gravitational force. Energy caused by nuclear fusion in its core causes it to shine brightly
Requirements of a star:
1. Be composed of Hydrogen and Helium to provide fuel for energy in the form of heat and light of a result of nuclear reactions.
2.Gravitational pressure inside a star has to be great enough to fuse hydrogen atoms together by helium atoms.
3.If an object is not big enough to generate that much pressure or fusion does not happen correctly.
Which Planet snows metal?
Venus
(Metal compounds like lead(II) sulfide and bismuthinite vaporises in the extreme heat of lower atmosphere and then condense as frost on cooler high altitude mountains)
Which planet has a blue sunset?
Mars
(Mars has a thin atmosphere composed of CO2 and dust. The dust particles cause a Mie scattering, which filters out red light and allows blue light to dominate during sunset)
What are Saturn's rings made up of?
Chunks of ice and rock coated with dust.
