1492: Europeans found North America
If the Europeans wouldn't have found this land, the USA would have never been created, and therefor, neither would Indiana.
1794: Native Americans lost the Battle of Fallen Timbers
American's gained more land to add to the United States (which eventually included Indiana).
1815: Indiana had 60,000 residence
This was legally needed to apply for statehood. They were able to apply for statehood so this was an important part of Indiana becoming a state.

1787: The Northwest Territory was formed
This was the first name for the land that is now the state of Indiana. Eventually the land was split up and the state of Indiana was created.

Without this war, the colonists would not have become free from British rule, and therefor would have never established their own country (which eventually included Indiana).
1815: 43 delegates were chosen to write the Indiana Constitution
Without a constitution, you can't apply for statehood. So without these delegates, Indiana would not have become a state.
1763: Treaty of Paris
It stated that the Native Americans/French had to give land to Great Britain. That land eventually became the US/Indiana.

This meeting allowed the delegates to choose what would be included in the Indiana constitution so that they could apply for statehood.
1783: Treaty of Paris signed again
Established the end of the Revolutionary War which resulted in colonists freedom from Great Britain (and therefor the ability for them to build their own country which eventually included Indiana).
George Rogers Clark- American leader in during the Revolution in the 1770s
He helped the colonists win the Battle at Fort Sackville by sneak attacking the British when they were tired. This helped the Americans win the war and gain their freedom from Great Britain.

The result: Great Britain received land in North American that eventually became land for the colonists, which eventually became the US/Indiana.
