Hometown

Porto, Portugal
Forever my favourite city in the world, which I always convince people at sessions to visit

100

Occupation

Gap year-er working a part-time uni job and dedicating more time to EYP

100

EYP CV

15 events, 5 years, 5 different roles.
3x Juror (soon 4), 1x HOJ.
Current NC board.
I feel that I have barely gotten started, and want to fill this next year with exciting sessions in new countries to expand my EYP horizons.

200

Current city

The Hague, The Netherlands
My home since starting university in 2023, and I wouldn't trade it for anywhere else

200

Degree

Liberal Arts and Sciences
Culture and History major
(a very confusing degree I have been assured will not leave me unemployed, and which in practice helped me embrace my passion for the Humanities and discover fields like Digital Heritage)

200

Favourite role

Jurying!
At the risk of sounding cliché, Jurying is incredibly rewarding and has a long-lasting effect on delegates. I am always proud to have the chance to impact a new generation of EYPers in this way.

300

Current hobby

Catching up on junk journalling (I've been saving random paper scraps since 2024 and only now doing something with them)

300

Dream job

Museum manager / Cultural policymaker
Anything that involves culture and making it more accessible!

300

Last Jury experience

Juror at Maastricht NSC
Developed my feedbacking skills and dedicated more time to personalising recommendations, but also had a renewed interest in Academics.

400

Best traits

Kind and compassionate
Calm under pressure
Marie-Kondo-level organised

400

Ask me about

16th century Spanish forgeries slandering William of Orange (and the monks who showed me manuscripts on a mountaintop)

400

Favourite EYP game

"Moose!"
I love the cringey-est games, and play them with 200% energy to make delegates realise there is no point in resisting the awkwardness - they might as well join in and have fun.

500

Worst traits

Terrible morning person
Indecisive
Always late for public transport

500

Currently reading

"Giovanni's Room" (for a serious read)
"The Pairing" (for something light to read on the metro instead of doomscrolling)

Why Savonlinna?

Develop my Jurying skills in a dynamic and dedicated team.
Engage with new NCs, working styles and EYP cultures.
And start the new year in great company!
