She serves on the Board of her HOA, the Diabetes Association of Atlanta, and the Atlanta BeltLine (they don't allow her to make motions in French, though). She serves as a mentor to men and women, and can still give you "that look" she learned from her days as a teacher. And she heroically put herself through college, stretching every dollar and sewing her own clothes.

This single mom jumped over numerous hurdles to raise her children after removing them from a racist environment and substandard housing. This team of three is full of heroes. Just ask Grady Hospital. He is a tireless PTA volunteer, dedicated father, and champion of children with special needs. She says "hello" in 5 languages, helped build 4 Habitat for Humanity homes, and volunteers with March of Dimes and Walk the Night. And he mentors underserved youth and helps overloaded teachers by grading papers and reading to the students.

This multi-departmental trio consists includes two doting moms and a doting neighbor! This fine mom of one daughter enjoys living healthy and serving her community. She rescues neighborhoods by day and cats by night. Mom #2 may or may not cook for her adorable son, but she's still his hero. Her neighbors call her hero too, as she actively serves in her HOA. Speaking of neighbors... You may think capes have gone out of style, but this hero still carries hers just in case she has to save the day! She added to her portfolio an 82 year old neighbor who was displaced by a fire. This hero opened up her home and her heart to care for her neighbor for 4 months!
