We stay in our building. No outside activities. We might lock our classroom door but just to make us feel safer. There is no threat in the building.

What is the difference between a lockdown and shelter-in-place?

Lockdowns mean there is something in the building and we need to either stay and hide or run based on the safest choice. Shelter-in-place means there is something outside of the building and we need to stay inside the building.
