The calendar was changed hundreds of years ago, and with that so did the first day of the year, which is now January 1st. What was the first day of the year on the original calendar?

Several calendars and ancient times began the new year on or near the first day of spring (spring equinox). This was usually around March 20–21 in the Northern Hemisphere.
