He is completely connected with nature, he is not like the other boys on the island. him and jack are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

He sees a ship.

The beast symbolizes savergery. Because the beast frightens all of the boys.

Roughly-Boat Shaped.
Why is this chapter titled "fire on the mountain"?
Because the fire they started on the mountain to try and get rescued backfired and caused the most conflict.

He loves to hurt people, he kept to himself with avoidance and secrecy.
Why is piggy considered an outsider?
Because he is overweight, and has a poor physical condition.
What does the fire represent?
It symbolizes destruction and hope of being rescued.
