EEC Regulations
This is the required staff-to-child ratio for school-age children in an EEC-licensed program.

Under no circumstances is a child allowed to get off at any stop that is not theirs, without confirming with a supervisor first. No children should be released to someone that is not on their authorized pickup. If you are uncertain with any situation on the bus, call a supervisor immediately.

Your class is playing dodgeball in gym. A child gets hit with the ball in their private parts. No first aid is required or requested and the child went back to playing immediately after. Should you write that up in a report?

Under EEC licensure, it is required that you document any and all incidents that involve the private area of a child.
Janel arrives every day wearing the same dirty clothes, often says she is hungry, and asks if they can take leftover snacks home. You are outside of program space finishing up at the dance studio. After being told it's time to clean up, Will yells "No!" and starts screaming and running out of the studio and down the hallway. These are 5 steps you should take to move forward.

1. Bring another staff with you (If staffing allows).
2. Follow child and do not take your eyes off of them while trying to de-escalate the situation.
3. Have another staff stay with the rest of the class while you handle the situation.
4. Call for a supervisor
5. Write a detailed incident report describing the entire situation
This is where your belongings should go.
What are On high surfaces and/or out of reach of the children.
When on a field trip to somewhere that is open to the public, one of your children need to use the restroom. There are only public restrooms available. This is what you should do.

Make sure there are no people in the bathroom (If possible). Scan the area to make sure it is safe for children to enter.
Bring a group of children (Considering the rule of 3 with one child in a stall, you would need to bring at least 2 extra children).
