What did the court case McCulloch v Maryland rule? How did Jackson try to limit the power of the national bank and what were the 2 effects of this
Compare and contrast these two court cases, Cherokee nation v Georgia & Worchester v Georgia
In Cherokee nation v Georgia, the Cherokee sued the state saying they ought to be treated as a foreign nation and did not have to follow removal. Chief Justice Marshall refused to hear the case b/c they were not citizens nor a nation. In Worchester v Georgia, Worchester (a white man) sued on behalf of the Cherokee. In the end, the court ruled that they did not have to follow state laws, but federal law. Both were related to the Cherokee trying to resist removal
