What is a free base word?
A free base is a word part that can stand alone and have meaning. Example: teach, grow, plant, box, etc.
What is a prefix?
A group of letters added to the beginning of a word that changes it's meaning.
What is a suffix?
A group of letters added to the END of a word that changes its meaning.
What is the doubling rule?
The final consonant of a base word must be doubled before adding a suffix that starts with a vowel. It must be doubled if the consonant follows a short vowel.

-Larp--> larped (don't double!)
