The wincon of many a turbo deck, this instant is best served on an opponent's end step. If you're running Hullbreaker Horror or Razaketh, the Foulblooded, you might want to skip this one, though.
Ad Nauseam
While not exactly a Dark Magician, this black Wizard is an OG draw engine that is weak enough to print into standard nowadays.
Dark Confidant
It ain't no Fireball, but this removal spell has been top-of-the-line since Alpha.
Lightning Bolt
What killed the cat? Maybe it was the near-infinite damage generated from this card comboing with Niv-Mizzet.
Curiosity
This ripoff moxen can tap for any color! Just make sure you have enough lands to back it up.
Mox Diamond
This goblin was banned alongside 2 other mana accelerants (as well as everyone's favorite bird). It may have a high ceiling, but it might not do anything after a Bane of Progress hits the field.

I have two untapped islands, why can't I cast my counterspell I bought from Temu? I wish I could've used this card on my order instead.

This hate bear can always stop a cascade deck, but it's especially potent in commander.
Drannith Magistrate
This white Dragon may not have blue eyes, but it sure can create a lot of tokens (just not Treasures, like its most expensive cousin of the cycle).
Ancient Gold Dragon
This card is too expensive to get a Crashing Footfalls, but back in the day, any 2-for-1 was good enough.
Bloodbraid Elf
This Kraken can be a powerful disruptive creature in its own right, but giving it a couple of mana neutral or positive permanents is enough to make it a combo powerhouse.
Hullbreaker Horror
Why isn't the Lightning Bolt I got off Ebay killing that Beast token? Oh no, this weaker card is only good for killing bears!
Shock
This ramping powerhouse is one of the best commanders in the format, despite its lack of Partner or a large color identity. Just don't mix him up with the Kid!
Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy
This land is mainly used for making your Primeval Titan attack a turn earlier, but it also has the secret ability of turning itself into a Fusion Monster.
Hanweir Battlements
This multicolored removal spell lacks a downside outside of its pips. As a bonus, it even stops regeneration!
Terminate
This 3-mana artifact generates infinite mana with just about anything, but give it a shot with Mesmeric Orb if you want to mix things up with some mill.
Basalt Monolith
Hey! This Chinese Time Walk is three mana more expensive than it was in the photo!
