I know it is division, because of the words split between.

There are 7 boxes of erasers. We put 6 erasers in each box. How many erasers are there altogether?
7x6 = 42 erasers

50 chocolate chips/5 bags = 10 chocolate chips.
How are addition and subtraction different from each other?
When we add, we are making the group bigger. When we subtract, we are making the group smaller.
