What is the present perfect and when do we use it? 

The present perfect is a tense in English made by bending the verb "to have" in the present and adding a given verb in "kort tillægsform" 

We use it when: 

-Something started in the past and goes on till this day 

-When the period of time that is referenced still isn't over 

-Something that has happened many times in a specific period of time

What is the past perfect tense and when do we use it? 

The past perfect tense is made by bending the verb "to have" in the past tense and adding a given verb in "kort tillægsform" afterwards. 

We use the past perfect tense, when: 

-we want to highlight that an incident has happened before another incident

He was very tired because he had not relaxed.
