This federal law requires Universities to adopt and implement a program to prevent the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees.

Although New York State legislation permits the use of medical marijuana, Manhattanville University must comply with federal law which requires a drug free campus environment or risk losing this.

The operation of this over College property is prohibited in the absence of written approval by the Director, Campus Safety.
